Peeling expected: The tretinoin cream is expected to cause peeling. Give your face a rest. Don't put any more cream on it. Keep it clean with gentle washing. Once healed, if you wish to use tretinoin again, get a lower concentration. Perhaps you should consult your doctor or a dermatologist for proper care of your skin.

Moisturize & wait: Thi sounds like a normal reaction but you may want to discuss with your prescribing physician. You may want to apply less frequently with a lower strength or delayed release suspension. Mild steroids and moisturizers will help in the interim. Avoid sun.
