Likely hemorrhoids: Internal hemorrhoids often cause "blood in stool" but typically no pain. When bleeding is excessive, removal by banding, photocoagulation using argon laser etc..External ones can be quite painful only if clotted, which can be removed--hemorrhoidectomy--not fun. Best is to prevent from getting them: regular use of fibers, fluid, minimize straining etc...If u have trouble, consult doc. Good luck.
