Try meds: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine can relieve most cramps - Ibuprofen and Naproxen are commonly used. If no relief, your doctor can do an exam and recommend next steps such as suppressing your cycle with hormonal contraceptives, and check for other possible causes for extreme cramps such as endometriosis.
