A member asked:

I haven't had my period in 8 months. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many things: Most commonly it is from not ovulating. If your pregnancy test is negative and you haven't had a period in over three months, then you need to see your doctor about some medication so the lining of your womb doesn't become too thick. Otherwise, when you do have a cycle, it could be extremely heavy. It would also be a good idea to check your thyroid levels and probably for diabetes too.
