Optic nerve: You can also see a neuro-opthalmologist and try optic nerve fenestration if your vision is a problem. Weight reduction surgery should be considered also if that is relevant.

Is a Shunt better than medication when it comes to IIH? I've tried Acetazolamide and Topamax (topiramate) but both gave me really bad side effects.
If shunting alone can treat CSF leak in IIH Patients, can appropriate pressure reducing medication (Diamox) treat the leak without surgical repair?
Can't lower 1, 000 mg daily acetazolamide despite acidosis due to pseudotumor cerebri / chiari i & lack of insurance for shunt. Suggestions?
