Partially: Up to 60% of cases are possibly genetic & there seems to be a common link between restless leg and adhd which is also genetic. Six genetic loci have emerged for rls. Though childhood growing pains may sometimes be masked rls, leg pain is not usually a grown up symptom of RLS which is principally an uncomfortable, restless urge to move and worsened at night or when still.
