Exercise: Keep up the good work. Sometimes a change in life pattern can disorder the cycle. If it stays off for a few months check with your doc.

Possibly: Being overweight can cause you not to ovulate regularly and can lead to irregular periods by itself. Once you start exercising and lose weight in many instances the cycles will correct in situations like you describe exercising will generally help regulate cycles eventually.
