Why do men have nipples?

No particular reason: Men and women are not that different after all, are they? The nipples may be decorative, but also have sensitive nerve endings.

Because...: Human babies are mammals, and so babies have nipples. Some grow up to be women with breasts and nipples. Others grow up to be men with nipples (and sometimes a little bit of breast tissue under the nipple). In other words, "that's just the way you're made". It also means men can get breast cancer on rare occasions.
