Sinus rinses: Some of my patients have found neil med sinus rinses to be quite helpful in treating their sinus or nasal allergy symptoms. Give that a try.

Treat it as migraine: Very often people complain of sinus headache, but there really is no such diagnosis. Most of the time when people complain of sinus pain, it is migraine. The nerves that transmit the migraine pain travel in the area of the sinuses. When these nerves are activated, their response is a "sinusy" pain. In sinusitis patients can have head pain, but this should be accompanied by pus from nose.

Sinus pain: The best treatments are nasal decongestants, mucolytics, tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin. One thing that I do when i get sinus pressure headaches is to rub Vicks on my forehead. Give it a try! it works for me. If these don't work, get checked.
