Asthma triggers: There are many asthma triggers including exercise, anxiety/strong emotions, etc. Performing CPR on a person is like doing exercise & stressful. If your asthma is under control, you should be able to safely perform cpr. If your asthma is not under control, see a specialist to maximize your treatment. If someone needs cpr, take your quick relief inhaler and start performing. It will save a life.

Get training...: One way to determine if you would tolerate giving CPR is to take a CPR training class, where you will be taught to perform CPR on a mannequin. This might give you an idea of your ability to perform cpr. Actually performing it on a person is more stressful but with proper training, it can be life-saving.
