I want to stop breastfeeding my baby and start bottle feeding but she is refusing to take bottle feeds, what should i do?

Betcha she's 6 mos.: Or older (and has read the aap recommendations on breastfeeding till ~a year :) ) implicit memory, the ability to remember what happened yesterday, begins ~ 5 mos. It leads to recognition of strangers vs. Non- strangers & " learned behaviors" by 6 mos. These include breast/ bottle preference, "trained night crying" if fed during the night, etc. You may have to let dad give the bottle at first.

Different feeder: Baby will often refuse a bottle if she can smell you. If you enlist dad or another helper to start the process baby may accept the feed if hungry enough.After a few feeds by the other helper, baby may be willing to make the change.
