Consider cushing: Consider the diagnosis of cushing syndrome. This is a syndrome of excessive cortisol levels which predispose to fat deposition in the cheeks, stretch marks, acne, hypertension, hump on back of neck among other findings. This is also seen in people taking prednisone. Check a morning cortisol level and consider consultation with an endocrinologist if you are concerned.

Genetic vs. adrenal?: Unless you are starting to look a lot like some members of your family, consider getting checked out for an adrenal problem. Similar problems are often drug-induced by medications such as Prednisone or other corticosteroid drugs, which mimic the effects of adrenal hormones.

Make sure its true: If this is not associated with generalized weight gain some endocrine diseases, such as cushing's syndrome could be considered. Are you taking steroids? Acromegaly can coarsen facial features and there is a rare disease called cherubism as well. As always, check with your doctor.
