I have a cold with a cough and when i cough it burns in my chest. i do have some weezing when i breath.

Avg cough = 18 days: Recent study suggests average duration of cough illness is 18 days. However if you notice shortness of breath, wheezing, fever, sweats, chills, etc, go see your family doc for evaluation, diagnosis & treatment.
