A member asked:

Is ultrasound safe for relaxing muscle spasms on the neck?

Yes: Similar technology is used to image babies in the womb, or a beating heart. A sonogram is another name for the imaging type of use. The chief benefit to ultrasound therapeutically is probably a transfer of heat energy through the skin to deeper tissues, sparing the skin. Both sound & heat are created by vibration of molecules. The sound of ultrasound is meant to create low grade warmth & vibration.
