Possible: Mittleschmirtz is the fancy word for ovulation pain and some people actually use that feeling as a form of birth control but i would not think that it lasts for a week. Should clear within 24-36 hours. Ever thought about endometriosis as a cause of the pain that is cyclic and lasts longer?
