Can cellulitis go away with out treatment?

Cellulitis: Cellulitis is a bacterial infection that spreads through the skin causing red, tender areas on the skin that enlarge fairly rapidly. The body has significant immune defenses that can control very small areas of cellutlitis [e.g. Hang nails, assuming you do healthy things like wash carefully; keep covered), but the larger areas of cellulitis (anything over an inch) should be treated with antibiotics.

What's the cause?: Cellulitis is an inflammation (red, hot swollen and tender) of the skin and soft tissues. It can be cause by many things such as bacteria, sunburn, vein disease and trauma all of which have different treatments. Depending on where it occurs and what is the cause, the treatment changes. If you keep having recurrences, the treatments are wrong, seek another opinion.
