Seborrhea : Washing your hair daily with a dandruff shampoo. The condition is caused by having too much oil on your skin. Even though you skin feels dry and flaky, you actually need to wash your hair more often.

Oil Hair & Dandruff: Dandruff shampoos work in different ways, depending on the active ingredient, but they do not slow oil production. Zinc pyrithione and ketoconazole act on the fungus, while selenium sulfide and tar reduce skin cell shedding and salicylic acid eases scaling. Detergent shampoos will help lesson the oil production. You may have to alternate shampoos.
