How to tell if it s implanation bleeding or period?

Timing: Implantation bleeding rarely occurs and most women who conceive do not get bleeding at the time of implantation. Implantation bleeding theoretically should occur shortly after ovulation where as period occurs 12-16 days after ovulation. If you are bleeding throughout the cycle it is more likely abnormal bleeding and you need to see a doctor to find the cause.
