Talk to your doctor: X-rays can be valuable to when flatfoot is causing pain. It may tell you why, and how bad the flatfoot condition is.

Not necessarily. : Most likely not a bone deformity. Would consider otc orthotics first before spending a lot of money on prescription orthotics. Walkfit platinums may be adequate for now.

YES: This child should have a comprehensive foot evalution which includes x- rays in an effort to better establish a treatment proctocal. X-rays would help to determine the extent or involment of bony abnormalities and aid in choosing the proper orthotic device. X-ray would also help determine or rule out the need for surgery.

YES: There are several different deformities of the bone structure that she may have. Some can be easily treated with inserts and physical therapy and others may require surgical intervention.
