Some dr.'s say that margin of error in 12 wk u/s can be off by just 3 days, others say 1wk? if u measuring 12 weeks (62mm)could u have been 11 or 13wks?

It depends: The margin of error is specific to the type of scan (transvaginal is better than transabdmominal) and the specific measurement made. Dates can be inferred from mean sac diameter, crown-rump length, biparietal head diameter, and a number of other measurements depending on fetus age. At 8 weeks, error is about 5 days. After 12 weeks, error can be as much as 2 weeks.
