Depends: How old is it? How deep a burn? May be discolored for a long time. Lubricate & protect from sun. Avoid irritation. Use aquaphor or vaseline at night. Use sunscreen every am.

Burns on face, hands: Genitals, large areas, on children should be checked by doc. If just redness, should heal without scar. If blistered, leave blister intact. Doc can prescribe burn medicine to apply to sooth & heal. More extensive burns will require more extensive treatment. Let doc see it to determine how best to treat it.

Burn: If it is only red, no blisters, then it is stage 1, and we do not expect any scar to develop. I suggest keep it clean wash it with cold water. Use some pain medication.
