Not really: The key to treating scabies is total eradication followed by thorough washing of all sheets, towels, blankets, and clothing that may have been exposed during the infestation. Topical Permethrin and oral Ivermectin are typically the two most effective treatments for treating people with scabies. Tea tree oil is unlikely to eliminate all of the scabies on your body.

Scabies: Products used to kill scabies mites are called scabicides. Scabicides used to treat human scabies are available only with a doctor’s prescription. No “over-the-counter” (non-prescription) products have been tested and approved to treat human scabies.
