Stop Fioricet!!!: Fioricet, excedrin & dietary caffeine help if taken 1-2 a week, but make headaches worse, causing rebound or medication overuse headaches if taken often. Taking migralex and/or a prescription drug Imitrex (sumatriptan) may help break the cycle. Some need a steroid (prednisone) or an injection of magnesium, toradol, imitrex, (sumatriptan) dhe-45, or another drug. If headaches occur on more than 15 days a month try botox.
