A member asked:

I'm a 26 yr old female. after having regular menstruation all my life, suddenly i'm missing it now. i'm not pregnant, and often get abdominal cramps?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dysmenorrhea : If your periods have stopped altogether and you're not pregnant, you should make an appointment with your gynecologist to have yourself evaluated. There can be a myriad of causes, including stress, a shift in the hormone production in your pituitary-adrenal axis, a uterine polyp, or several other things. Dysmenorrhea always warrants close follow up.
