What would be the reason for a total hysterectomy and left salpingo-oophorectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hysterectomy: There are many reasons for a total hysterectomy. The most common reasons are fibroids, bleeding, pain, endometriosis and precancerous and cancerous conditions of the uterus, cervix and or ovary, a salpingo-oophorectomy is removal of the fallopian tube and ovary. These are removed for several reasons also including things like cysts or tumors.
