Dr Carlos Chagas: The dr how discover it, it is caused by the parasite trypanosoma cruzi, which is transmitted to animals and people by insect vectors that are found only in the americas (mainly, in rural areas of latin america). There are two treatment, both of which can be life saving: antiparasitic treatment, to kill the parasite; and symptomatic treatment, to manage the symptoms and signs of infection.

Chagas Disease: Chagas disease is due to a protozoan (trypanosoma cruzi). Sxs can include fatigue, generalized body aches, loose bowel movements, vomiting, rash, poor appetite; enlarged liver ; spleen ; inflamed brain ; heart. Antiparasitic medications used to treat it include nifurtimox ; benznidazole.
