Check preg test ...: Periods are more likely to be irregular if ovulation does not occur that month. During ovulation, Progesterone levels rise and stabilize the lining in the uterus, 2 weeks later if you are not pregnant then all the tissue comes out like a normal period. If no ovulation occurs, then the lining is not stable and bleeding can be more erratic (like you describe.) if this is a pattern, consult your doc.
