See below: After being on Depo-Provera provera, (medroxyprogesterone) even 1 injection, your cycle may not return for awhile. In some cases, it could be prolonged 9-18months. If you want to have a period and need contraception, then the birth control pill will solve your problem. If you're trying to conceive, you either need to wait or discuss this with your gyn to possibly go on medication to induce ovulation.
