Dysgeusia or: Altered taste sensation is a reported side effect of flagyl. Should resolve once the drug is completely out of your system. Other drugs that can cause altered taste include benadryl/ tavist/chlor-trimeton (h1 antihistamines) and ace inhibitor blood pressure meds. If u develop any throat/tongue swelling or difficulty breathing, go to er at once or call ambulance.

Altered taste: Dysgeusia ( altered taste/ metallic taste ) is reported with the use of Flagyl (metronidazole). This is transient and will pass with time. Increased water intake, and use of hard candy can help. If the condition does not improve or worsen see your doctor for evaluation. Take care.
