Where are they?: Do's- get evaluated by a physician, take antiviral medication if indicated, avoid intimate contact with the blisters/crusts until cleared up, have partner evaluated dont's- share towels or linens with other people during an episode, touch lesions and not wash hands call my office at 310-545-2900 if you are interested in an evaluation.

Herpes advice: 1. DO talk to your partner(s) -it's only fair... 2. DO talk to your doctor - there are antiviral options available 3. DO try to avoid stress. Stress only helps the virus- and you may get an outbreak 4. DO use barrier protection - although recognize it's not exactly 100% effective for a number of reasons 5. DON'T blame yourself - herpes is very common and many people don't know they have it.
