Need differential : Count. White cell count of 22 is elevated. Average upper limit is about 11. However, there are many different types of white blood cells and a differential count is neede for proper interpretation. If it is your count, it likely means a bacterial infection, however, you need to discuss it with the doctor who ordered the test.
