Many reasons: Itching can be secondary to a skin condition or can be secondary to an internal problem. Dry skin is a common cause of itching in the winter. I suggest you consult your primary doctor first and if they are unable to elucidate the problem see a dermatologist or allergist about your issue.

Many possibilities: Many different causes include allergic reaction to medications, food, chemicals, environmental allergens, materials, clothing, detergent, soap, plants, animals. It can also be caused by scabies, atopic dermatitis, or an underlying medical disorder. You should see a doctor or dermatologist for evaluation and treatment. You may need to get a biopsy or patch testing.
