Inflammation: This can be caused from several factors such as trauma, chronic epididymitis, cancer, or chronic inflammation of the testicle (orchitis). More uncommon would be an intermittent twisting of the testicle (torsion). An ultrasound showed be performed to evaluate for a treatable cause.
