Possibly: Your symptoms could certainly be related to acute, severe anxiety. U nfortunately they could also be due to a variety of other, possibly more sinister symptoms including cardiac, endocrine or neurologic issues. It would be important to bring this up with your doctor.

Perhaps: Anxiety is not only common, but can cause many different manifestations. As a practicing dentist (orthodontist), i occasionally have seen patients who are so anxious (phobic) that they may have an episode of something called vaso-vagal syncope, a hot flash, dizziness and passing out can occur. Usually laying patient down will bring them around. So, yes it can.

Clomipramine: One of the best medications for OCD is called clomipramine, aka anafranil. It is in the class of medications called tricyclic antidepressants. While is may have more side-effects than paxil, (paroxetine) it may also be more benefits. Also, Paxil (paroxetine) can raise the levels of clomipramine which could potentially affect one's heart, so it is best to be off Paxil (paroxetine) for at least one week before taking the first dose.

Maybe: Anxiety can be treated with medications for daily feelings with paxil, buspar, (buspirone) or if needed with like xanax if only occasionally. Natural remedies are vitamin d, holy basil, calm's forte, hypnosis, acupuncture, and getting your thyroid and adrenal hormones checked since they are also linked to anxiety.
