Possibly: The macrobids would likely make growing a germ out of the specimin hard to do.Yet if you had a real UTI that had only a day of treatment, there should have been a bunch of white cells around and some evidence of bacteria on the urinalysis. Many docs treat uti's in adults based on this urinary debris pattern rather than wait for a culture. You may have another reason for your discomfort.
