Important!: It takes the eye a fairly long time to heal after a corneal transplant. Initially there are sutures holding it together. It is possible to break these and lose your eye. So do what your corneal surgeon tells you.

Strenuous activity: You need to be careful of injuring your eye for life! avoid contact sports such as boxing and mma. Always use eye protection and follow-up with your corneal surgeon for more info. Good luck...

Eye drops: Use of steroid eye drops to prevent transplant (graft) rejection is very important. I've seen patients who've stopped taking their medications for a short period of time and had problems. So, be very clear and follow advice of your corneal surgeon.
