Swollen and tight: Chest tightness can indicate a cardiac or lung problem and is frequently seen in asthma. A swollen throat also can be the result of an inhaled or swallowed allergen. An allergist can assist in determining the exact cause and providing a treatment plan to prevent these symptoms from recurring.
