Does putting ice on the meniscus good? why does my knee feel different when i wear a tens unit? it is worse when i sit for a long time?

Distraction: A tens unit causes a distraction. Instead of feeling the normal pain you experience the sensations of the tens unit. These effects can last when the unit is off, but are often short lived. Most meniscal tears are not repaired but rather the torn area is shaved away. The meniscus has a poor blood supply and does not heal well. Tears along the outer edges sometimes can be sutured and may heal.
