Discuss with OB: This is most commonly associated with a simple cold sore, however, some with past genital herpes have had this test positive. Your OB can review with you the issue and impact on your delivery. Genital herpes is a risk to the baby and anyone who is actively shedding the germ may opt for c/section rather than expose baby.Neonatal infection can be disasterous.
