Rogaine (minoxidil) : Greying and hair loss are two different processes. Rogaine (minoxidil) works for hereditary androgenetic alopecia (hair loss). It prevents cycling of the hairs, doesn't create new follicles, so need to stay on for life to maintain current volume of hair. Greying is a process of reduced melanin production and transport of melanin into the follicles. Unfortunately, we don't have a solution for this.
