Many possibilities: Try a bland diet for a few days, including yogurt twice daily. Also take a good pro-biotic, like culturelle for 2 weeks, and eliminate things which traditionally create gas, such as beans. One the most common yet overlooked reason for bowel dysfunction as you've described is imbalanced intestinal bacteria, and thi strategy should correct that. See your doctor if this is unsuccessful.
