Varies: Based on recent data on all patient with surgery 12-15 years ago the cirrent estimate is that more than 80% will stii be in place at 20 years. Younger more active patients may not do as well . There are new materials awailable that show decreased wesr rates in the lab, it is not known if this will translate to clinical survival, but it may. There are many modes of failure besides "wearing out".
