How is an intravaginal ultrasound disinfected?or sterilized ?

Cidex & condom: Typically, the transvaginal probe is rinsed off after an exam and placed in a cidex glutaraldehyde solution for disinfection. The probe is covered with a latex condom prior to each exam.
