Chronic Cough: Without knowing the type of inhaler that was used and whether there is a history of asthma, this may be difficult to answer. Some inhalers actually can cause a chronic cough. Sometimes, a chronic cough is the result of gastrointestinal reflux (gerd) and an acid reducer is all that's needed. I would, however, recommend that your daughter see a pulmonologist and have appropriate diagnostic studies.
