A member asked:

My husband has fatty liver. is choline useful in the treatment of fatty liver ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Deficiency in choline, an essential nutrient, can worsen fatty liver. However, there are very few human trials looking at its use in the treatment of fatty liver. It is recommended that you take no more than 3.5 grams/day for choline. Higher doses have been associated with toxicity (sweating, vomiting, bad odor, dizziness, and others).
