Is it safe to take maca root while on antibiotics?

Probably: I do not know of any interactions with maca and antibiotics, but it pays to be cautious. I would explore why you are on maca and what you read about it before starting it. It is commonly used as an aphrodisiac, so i would be more concerned about using an antibiotic with birth control pills. Some antibiotics make ocs less effective! use back up birth control in that case.
