A member asked:

What is the maximum no. of birlubin enzyme before dying from liver dysfunction ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not answerable: Bilirubin is the natural byproduct from the breakdown of hemoglobin. Bilirubin by itself does not cause liver disease. High bilirubin can damage brains in newborns but in adults high levels of bilirubin will not injury brains. Bilirubin is a maker for possible liver disease, but it can be elevated for other reasons as well. So there really is no maximum number.
