Possibly tendonitis.: You may have dequervains tendonitis. If so this usually needs a steroid injection for treatment.

Tendonitis: You are describing de Quervain's tendonitis which is pain over the radial styloid in the sheath of two tendons. They are not really inflamed just sore. Treatment is modification of activity, ice packs, an over the counter anti-inflammatory, a splint and time. This usually goes way. It may need a steroid injection if it hurts more than three of four months.
