Probably Not: If you have a big event coming up, you may want to have an intralesional steroid shot to the area to help it resolve more quickly. Risks of steroid injection are pitting (divet in the skin) and blood vessels to the surface. Some people like Ibuprofen for inflammatory bumps 400-600mg every 4-6 hours- ask your physician if this is ok for you.
