Hi, is there any chance that u have not contacted(sex/kiss) any person with herpes and still get it. does unhygienic habits lead to herpes?

It also can be acquired by adults from kissing infected persons (usually sexual kissing, not social kissing like a brief peck on the cheek). Genital herpes is only acquired by sex (oral or genital) with an infected partner. Poor hygiene has no role.
